Former class pets from the marsh
Mr. Bubbles!! This is a Betta fish. My students earned this fish by "getting caught being good." Each time they were caught, I gave them a letter. Once they spelled SURPRISE, they earned a surprise.... We had to vote three times to get his name picked and finally I let the fourth, other fifth, and sixth grade teachers vote to come up with Mr. Bubbles.
Our guppies! My daughter, Brook, and my mother in law, Susie, thought we needed this tank of guppies. There are about ten or more in there but you can't see them all in this picture.
We hope to get more classroom pets in the spring......hmmm, wonder what that will be!
